Suddenly named as CUHK(A). Today, there's nothing to fear. The only thing we fear's loss. Just ensure there's no mistake... "Attention... Go!" Had a bullet-like start... longer and longer... we're leading other boats... but after 1000M, others exerts all their power to chase after us. Apparently, we could do much better in the last 1000M. Both 8+A and 8+B didn't just deserve a third place in the Heat. Anyway, we achieve our aim - getting in the Final. What can be more exciting than having high qualified M8+ competing with us? Look forward to tomorrow...

Went to church in the morning before going to the Rowing Centre. Actually, I just visualized myself being in the competition and how each drive should be like right before sleep last night and also after getting up. Even in my prayers when I close my eyes, I could see how to maximize my strokelength and speed up the catch. Yet, I confessed I was really nervous... but I know it's a SPECIAL DAY for us!
In the chapel, my friends and teachers sent their best greetings to me. And just on my way to the rowing centre, Bon already noticed me with a good news of having tailed current today! Unexpectedly, both my dad and mum would come to watch me rowing (what I kept doing in the last 100+ days). I had my crew. I had support. I had confidence. I had everything. Nothing can be better than this.
Upon arrival, people chatting, resting, warming up... indeed it's tailed water flow! Feeling of competition was so strong. Indeed, I haven't had such a strong feeling at any kind of competition before cos rowing's about TEAM WORK. It's not just one's business. What each one does can be crutial and influential. Got ready - visualization, warming up, stretching as usual. But even Ar Lo's so nervous that asking me for a prayer together. How nice!!! I became calmer after a little prayer indeed. I know He's watching and taking care of us this whole summer! Everything's ready. Seeing Women 8+A&B back, congratulations to them - getting both championship and 1st runner-up. It's our turn to show off on this stage of Shing Mun river. HUAAAA!!!

"Go!" suddenly without "attention". Yet we're still leading all other boats after our super start. Down rating, longer, bursts were all nicely done!!! Last 30 drives... "Bip... Bip... Bip..." Ben showed a sign of victory (also thinking that we got 1st runner-up). Fai stood up on the boat! Back to old rowing centre and saw my parents waving to me. Exhausted as well as pleasurable. All CUHK rowers on the pontune's clapping and applauding. Still no one knows which place we could get.
At the moment we all sat down, the MC announced there'd been complaints for M8+ event. Knowing that there could be a chance to re-row, we started stretching and psychologically prepared for any possible outcome. Here we go! It's just our 2nd time trial of the day! Nothing special! It's good for us cos we could only be better but no worse. Thanks be to God! We all performed what we've practiced throughout the summer and did our best!!! We got 2nd runner-up!!!
